TENFOLD follows Natalia Price, a former collegiate national champion pole vaulter turned coach, as she prepares for the inaugural Women’s Decathlon World Championships. These championships mark a major milestone in the fight for gender equity in track and field. The decathlon remains the only Olympic track and field event still closed to women.
For Natalia, this competition is a way to end her personal athletic career on a high note and also acts as a symbolic passing of the torch to the next generation of athletes.
This 35-minute documentary follows her as she trains for and competes in the historic 2024 World Championships in Geneva, Ohio.

The 2024 Olympic Committee claimed that the 2024 Olympic Games were the first Olympics “with full gender parity on the field of play.” While it’s true these Olympic Games marked the first time there were an equal quota of male and female athletes, there were still some opportunities afforded to male athletes that their female counterparts weren’t allowed to partake in. The decathlon is one of those events.
Men have been competing in the decathlon since the 1912 Olympic Games. Women weren’t allowed to compete in the Olympics in track and field at all until 1928. And even then, they were only allowed to compete in five events.
Since 1928, women track and field athletes have slowly fought for the ability to compete in all 10 events that make up the decathlon, the last one being the pole vault which was finally made an Olympic event for women in the year 2000.
In 2025, despite competing in every individual event that the decathlon is made up of, women are still barred from competing for the title of world’s greatest athlete.
